What it is

Wrinkle-relaxing injections gently ease the muscle movement that, over time, etches dynamic lines into the skin. The medicine used is a prescription-only medicine, prescribed only after a face-to-face consultation — so I plan every treatment around your face, your features and what you actually want to change. As an injector who also trains other clinicians, I treat conservatively: enough to soften, never enough to leave you looking blank.

How it works

A few precise injections temporarily relax the small muscles responsible for repeated expressions. With that movement softened, the overlying lines smooth out and the skin gets a chance to settle. The same approach can lightly lift a heavy brow for a fresher, more open look. Individual results vary, and we agree the strength of the effect together before we begin.

What to expect

The appointment is quick and the injections themselves are very fine. You may notice tiny raised points for a short while and the occasional small bruise, both of which settle quickly. The effect builds over a couple of weeks rather than appearing instantly, and it is temporary — typically lasting around three to four months before gentle muscle movement returns.

Will I look frozen or expressionless?

No — that is the opposite of how I work. The goal is to soften lines while keeping natural movement, so you still look like yourself, just more rested. We agree the strength together at consultation, and individual results vary.

How long does it last?

It is temporary, typically around three to four months. Nothing about it is permanent; the effect gradually wears off as natural muscle movement returns.

Does it hurt?

Most people are surprised by how comfortable it is. The needles are very fine and the appointment is short. Any small marks or bruising tend to settle within a day or two.

Why do I need a consultation first?

Because the medicine used is a prescription-only medicine and can only be prescribed after assessing you in person. It also means your treatment is planned properly around your face, your health history and your goals — never rushed.
